About Dr. Tasch

My love affair with Austin began early in my life. Back when Lamar Boulevard was the main north-south thoroughfare in Austin, I would spend a portion of my summer vacations visiting my grandparents. I am very fortunate to have childhood memories of 'Zephyr' train rides in Zilker Park followed by refreshing swims in the enchanting emerald blue waters of Barton Springs. In 1982, I was elated to learn that my family was relocating in Austin. My high school years passed quickly here in Austin and soon I was attending the University of Texas. In addition to earning a BA in Biology, I also had the wonderful fortune of meeting Sara, my wife, during my stay at UT.

My professional career began in 1992 at the number one ranked dental school in the nation: The University of Texas Health and Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. In 1997 I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery and quickly returned to Austin where I and Dr. Meek, a friend and dental school colleague, began 38th Street Dental.

I am an active member of the Capital Area Dental Society, The Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. I regularly attend continuing education courses to allow for the best patient care possible. Additionally, I am currently pursuing a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. more...
